It was a quiet morning in the neighborhood, on the headland and the beach. The kind of morning I relish and hope for. The ocean was very flat; a great morning for kayaking. As we circled the headland, a single CA sea lion could be heard barking on the southern end. A few Canada geese and some songbirds were around but otherwise very quiet on the north side. The beach was wide open. The morning “dog park” group had already come and gone so Baxter and I walked down to check out the intertidal exposed by today’s low tide. A great start to our week.
