Today Baxter and I skipped our walk to hang out in our backyard and do some gardening. We have a new raised garden bed that needed planting and holes in other areas of our garden to fill. When I work in the backyard Baxter likes to follow me around. He’s curious about what I’m doing but he’s also hopeful that I will “throw the ball.” He loves to walk but he really LOVES to play ball. What I wished I’d captured today is an image of Baxter on his hind legs checking out the work I did on the raised bed. So absolutely adorable! Jacks are very curious dogs and never miss a beat. They notice every change or new addition; such a smart breed. Tomorrow is Mother’s Day which is about recognizing our roles in the family we have created.
