Ok. I confess. We took a break this week because well, I wimped out. I didn’t feel like dealing with the rain. Or call it fallout from Covid-19 anxiety. Take your pick. Both are true. Like most, I’ve had my fill of news and politics. I have to turn it off. It’s just too much, most of which at this point in time is completely out of my/our control. Oh but come November 3rd……..(please exercise your right to vote).
Baxter was game and anxiously watching my every move the last 3.5 days in anticipation that we would take a walk. It’s disheartening to see that tail drop once he realizes we aren’t going. But today we got a break in the rain. We put on our rain gear, just in case, and headed out the door. The lighting today was fantastic! I love days where the clouds and sun compete yielding a greenish color to the ocean. It’s beautiful and makes for great photo ops.
We aren’t the only ones getting cabin fever. It looks like some of our western friends have crept across the state line. Vehicles with out-of-state plates from Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, and Oregon were getting their beach fix in town today. Arizona asked me how to get to the lighthouse. Sigh…
New to me today on the trail this morning was a snake who froze just a few feet in front of us. My trusty sidekick (bred for hunting small animals) completely missed it. Probably a good thing. We also spotted the peregrine falcon pair that nests on the headland. Unfortunately I was not able to capture their image today. #iluvtowalk #walkingmakesmehappy #baxteronthego
