Baxter and I were not the only ones who got up early to get our walk in before the tourists (who are obviously in town) hit the trail. Two other local women had the same idea. We seemed to be walking at a similar fast pace so depending on which part of the trail, our social distancing ranged anywhere from 30 to 100 feet apart. Walking in unison while making sure we kept our distance felt like work and my mind started thinking about the Disney song, “Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it’s off to work we go” as we took our spin around the headland. Odd since it’s been years since I watched Snow White. I guess it’s one of those things that just sticks with you.
It’s a beautiful day and we were able to do a little beach combing before settling back in at home. I plan to hang out in our backyard garden this weekend. We will see what inspires me. Meanwhile I am sharing a video that I took last week for those who join me in my appreciation of the sound of fog horns and buoys. Memorial Day weekend is here. Time to take a moment to remember those who lost their lives in service. #iluvtowalk #walkingmakesmehappy #baxteronthego
