Today’s Walk: Art & Poetry

Tuesday May 26, 2020

Just Baxter and I and four turkey vultures were visible on the headland this morning. These are the morning walks I really enjoy. We had the headland to ourselves. A lot of people are driven by the weather. Today we have light fog which usually means I’ll get the solitude I seek. I find this fascinating because the fog provides such interesting lighting for photo opportunities. Folks don’t know what they are missing.

Signs of human footprints are abound if you pay close attention. We seem to have a couple of poets who have blessed the headland with their thoughts. I’ve labeled them graffiti poets. It’s an interesting art form. I’ve included their art work in today’s and yesterday’s posts.

We had an awesome low tide this morning so Bax and I headed down to the boat launch beach after we came off the headland. The intertidal is full of so much beauty; nature’s mixed media art form. Combine that with headland flora and you have quite the palette to choose from.

Today’s out-of- state license plate spotting: North Carolina. Sigh…. #iluvtowalk #walkingmakesmehappy #baxteronthego
