This morning was stunning. Sunny and warm with the perfect kayaking conditions in the bay. For those who planned ahead it was a great morning to be on the water; nice and flat with no wind. I wished I was out there.
As I circled the headland the latest national news was in my thoughts. I’m a big fan of Political Historian Heather Cox Richardson and read her Letter From an American post daily. I’m flabbergasted by the behavior (or lack thereof) that has been recently disclosed. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, number 45 has taken the White House to an astonishing new low. I hope that all Americans but especially active duty personnel, veterans and their family members keep this unforgivable abuse of trust and power in mind when casting their votes on Nov 3. If you don’t know what I’m referring to, please read Richardson’s June 30 post.
It’s a long way to Jan 20 and I’m sure between now and then we are going to be bombarded with a lot more unsettling news. For whatever reason(s) you read my blog, I hope that the photographs I share bring a bright spot to your day and help keep you going. We can all use a daily infusion of positive reinforcement. #iluvtowalk #walkingmakesmehappy #baxteronthego
