This morning began with dramatic fog that drifted in and out during our 50 minute walk. I was able to get some great pics today. Not only did the landscape provide opportunities but some of my favorite local characters were also out today. The calm before the storm. I suspect they were doing the same thing as me; getting out before the wave of tourists roll into town.
Trinidad came alive this afternoon as expected as the tourists poured into town for the July 4 weekend. Vacation rentals are back in full swing. We stocked up on our favorite provisions on Wednesday so we can stay away from the hub of activity. Memorial Day weekend, July 4 and Labor Day are usually the big ones in terms of tourists. I’m noticing a lot of people wearing masks which is encouraging. #iluvtowalk #walkingmakesmehappy #baxteronthego
