Experts suggest you vary your workouts rather than always doing the same thing. My new routine is mixing my daily walks with paddling. Instead of walking the trails today we took to the water at Big Lagoon and the adjacent Maple Creek. My brother in-law Craig and sister-in-law Michelle joined us. We started out in some fog which drifted away to reveal sunshine. The Junior Lifeguard kiddos were out for training and a children’s summer Day Camp was in session. Once we got away from the boat launch area we quickly escaped all the activity and had a very serene and peaceful paddle. No otters today but we did see an Osprey, a variety of small birds, and a pair of deer. #iluvtokayak #humboldtcounty #redwoodnationalandstateparks
