It was a quiet morning in Trinidad and on the headland & beach. The trail footing is showing signs of wear & tear from this summer’s visitation. Maybe there should be a dedicated portion of lodging tax dollars that go to trail maintenance and trash pick up. The City of Trinidad does what they can and volunteer groups do assist but all the crews are overextended with numerous other tasks and trails. It’s clear that as trail and beach usage continues to rise it will need to be addressed.
I just missed the Cal Fire Team and their workout on the headland. They run the trail (with and without gear) while the majority of us walk it. In case you need or want a boost, here are the pics from today’s spin around the headland. Enjoy! #iluvtowalk
