This morning my friend Annie asked me if I wanted to take a walk in the park. The park being, Redwood National and State Parks, which surround us and is located 20 miles north and to the south including almost 40 miles of coastline. I am so grateful for the opportunity to spend the afternoon walking and talking in the forest.
There is nothing like good company and communing amongst magnificent old and new growth trees. We followed Cal Barrel Road and some of the Cathedral Trees Trail which are both easy to maintain social distancing on. Today’s walk made my heart swell with joy and gave me a chance to re-center myself. Being surrounded by the regenerative properties of the forest has a calming affect similar to swaddling a baby.
