My friend Jackie and I did the 2 hr 15 minute paddle on Big Lagoon and up Maple Creek this morning. It was foggy and cool and very quiet on glassy water. Quite blissful and relaxing which is what we hoped for. After we reloaded our gear, we enjoyed a long lunch on the beach.
Today was not a big day for larger wildlife sightings. There were however quite a few birds including great blue herons, snowy egret, flocks of ducks and what I think were pigeon guillemots. I was able to capture a few good images. Enjoy! #iluvtokayak #biglagoon #humboldt
