The lighting this morning was exceptional, especially if your into photography. My daily walks are all about exercise, clearing my mind AND playing around with photography. I’m an amateur enthusiast who uses a cell phone. We are fortunate to have such a picture postcard landscape right at our feet and the technology to capture it. The easier the access the more successful the exercise routine AND the pie baking.
In a moment of weakness, yesterday I made a strawberry rhubarb pie. Our backyard rhubarb crop was egging me on. I have been ignoring it for weeks. We have a very successful cluster of rhubarb that is a great producer. Rhubarb is one of those plants that once it gets established and it likes its location, it can be extremely productive. It seemed a shame to let our third harvest go to waste. Our evenings are getting cooler which means the rhubarb should go dormant. Or maybe not. The crazy weather we have been having may fool the plant into continuous production. I do see some new buds on our plants. If that becomes the case, I won’t be walking just in the morning!
