My trusty side kick Baxter is back on the trail with me, or so it seems. I’ll know more tonight but I suspect he may be a little sore after jumping back into our routine.
Today was a good reminder of why it’s beneficial to be able to let go and go with the flow. When possible we should take advantage of nature’s gifts; recognizing them as opportunities. There was a really nice minus tide this afternoon and few tourists in town. I also wanted to check on the patch of California Fetid adder’s tongue that I started monitoring this past Sunday. So, I stopped what I was doing and took a second walk. My effort was rewarded; the minus tide was spectacular and the adder’s tongue have started to bloom (see photos below).
So here is what I know. Learning to set aside tasks that do not require immediate attention and being flexible so you can take advantage of special opportunities is well worth it. Both physically and mentally. We are still living in a pandemic so nobody’s throwing parties (or at least they shouldn’t be). Extra dog or cat hair is not the end of the world. It’s picking up those little Lego pieces that you gotta worry about. 😉
