Today’s Walk: It’s the Little Things That Can Bring Joy

If this pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that we can not control all aspects of our daily lives. What we can control, is seeking out the little things that bring us joy.

I have always been interested in nature and native plants. My daily walks inspire me, bring me joy, and remind me of all the beauty that surrounds me. Yes, I’m fortunate to live in an environment filled with natural beauty. But, beauty is as they say, in the eye of the beholder.

I love to walk and have always tried to take advantage of the environment I’m in. Whether I was on a hiking trail, working in an urban environment, or attending a conference in another city or state. Beauty is everywhere; whether it be natural or artificial. Like in nature, architectural design can showcase amazing craftsmanship and city planning can provide very interesting visual opportunities. Public art is a great city perk. One just needs to get outside and seek that inspiration. Many museums and city Park’s and Recreation departments offer free walking tour information online. Consider checking it out! Life is very different when your on foot.

Yesterday afternoon we had another minus tide so today’s pics are from that walk. I also continue to monitor our local patch of Fetid adder’s tongue. Enjoy my pics! #iluvtowalk #trinidadcalifornia #humboldt #humboldtcounty #fetidadderstongue
