Baxter and I used our “insurance policy” on our walk today. Often when he wears his blue raincoat we beat the rain and today was one of those mornings. A quick spin around the headland and some time afterwards, beach combing on Launcher Beach. A great way to start the day and launch the weekend.
Once again, I did not spot the elusive Bald Eagle my neighbors have observed. I checked in with a knowledgeable birder and she substantiated the sightings so I will remain on the lookout. I did however get to watch two sport fishermen launch their pontoon style watercraft onto the bay. My pics don’t completely show how hard they needed to paddle.
Yesterday was apparently National Drink Wine Day and I missed it. We’ve all heard about the suggested health benefits to drinking a glass of wine. It’s supposedly good for cardiac health and as a stress buster. That is of course, if it’s used in moderation. So three cheers to a happy Friday.
