Wanna make someone happy? Take your dog or the neighbors dog for a walk. They will love you for it! Baxter was overjoyed this morning when he realized he was getting to go on today’s walk. Due to various circumstances he was excluded from my walks for the last four days. To an enthusiastic walking buddy, that seems like a lifetime.
This was a foggy morning so there were only a handful of people on the beach and two other people on the headland. I absolutely love mornings like this. Ah yes, serenity…. We are enjoying the calm before the fireworks storm. Why is it that people insist on bringing fireworks to the beach? Personally, I wish they’d ban the darn things from personal use. Not only are they a nuisance and terrorize most wildlife, fur babies and anyone with PTSD, they are a fire hazard. Our landscape maybe green and lush but it is still flammable! For whatever reason the firebugs tend to shoot them off up into the slope above the beach; below many of the houses. Am I missing something here? Are they just trying to be environmentally conscious and avoid the rubbish going into the ocean? Leaving the rubbish along the hillside and on the beach does not seem to be a concern. Arghhh.
