Life is full of opportunities and today was one of those days that we pounced on one. There’s a new business in town that is providing a unique opportunity to cruise the water around Trinidad on a sailboat. Today we took a two hour cruise with Captain Doby Class on his boat, the Obsession. The fog monopolized the day and the wind was not optimal but we had a blast anyway.

Sailing was a great way to gain a new perspective on the landscape. The headlands look very different from the water and we saw quite a few birds. News to me: Marbled Murlets could care less about sailboats passing by; we floated past a large raft of them. My brother in law spotted a whale and a porpoise.
