It’s a busy weekend in Trinidad so Baxter was left at home this afternoon as I took my walk. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law are visiting us and wanted to see the real Trinidad Lighthouse. On the first Saturday of each month the access gate for the lighthouse is open so the public can walk in to see it. The site is not accessible by motorized vehicles; it is a walk in only site via a paved road. The structure is now automated; the fresnel lens is housed at the Trinidad Museum. If you get up to the lighthouse site between 10 am – 12 noon, a museum volunteer is present so you can go inside and climb the stairs.
