Trinidad, CA had a high of 81 degrees today! Summer popped in at the coast the day before the official last day of summer. No wind and absolutely gorgeous. A great day for wading in a creek bed.
Today’s walk took me into Redwood National and State Parks on the trail out to Redwood Creek. A first for me and I will be back! I hear Trillium season is amazing along this trail. My friend Sara and I got a late start so we just walked 5 of the 15 mile RT trail. Lots of frogs on the creek. We walked past an NPS work crew and only saw two other people during our visit; one in the parking lot and one on the creek. Glorious!
Redwood Creek Trail has a restroom in the parking lot and for the 2 mile walk out to the creek, is an easy flat trail. The trail gets steep on the other side of the creek. We took a look, made note for a future walk, and turned back to go play in the creek. A late lunch on the beach followed.
