I heard from one of our neighbors that a Bald Eagle had been repeatedly spotted on the rocks offshore from the beach below our home. So I set out this morning to walk with binoculars hoping to get a glimpse of this extraordinary bird.

I failed to spot the Eagle but did see quite a few harbor seals hauled out and a number of sea birds sunning themselves on the rocks. I will be on the lookout for future opportunities to observe the Eagle. Meanwhile, I enjoyed a beautiful beach walk during a low tide that provided access to do some beach combing.

One of the best benefits from a beach walk is peace of mind. The beach is a great place to manage your thoughts. Yesterday my Dad returned again to the hospital; hopefully for a short stay.
