One of the side benefits to daily walking is that you recognize the other regulars and sometimes have a chance to converse. Trail side chats range from a simple, “how are you doing,” to tackling the bigger issues of the day. We probably won’t solve all the world’s problems but these conversations at least help to keep one sane. We live in interesting times and any sense of unity is welcome.
Research has shown that getting regular exercise is healthy for your brain. To learn more, check out neuroscientist Wendy Suzuki’s TED talk at, http://www.t.ted.com/eNLzJun. I’m going to take this one step further (pun intended) and suggest that maybe taking daily walking breaks from work should be considered professional development. Makes sense to me.
The lighting this morning was very soft and changed dramatically during my walk today. Enjoy my pics! #iluvtowalk #baxteronthego #trinidadcalifornia #humboltdcounty #humboldt
