It always amazes me just how much weather can influence daylight levels and its reflection on the landscape. The ocean is a great example; lighting and wind (impacting or creating waves) can make it appear different shades of blue, green or sometimes even slightly gray. Yesterday we had very soft lighting which was reflected in my pics. Today the softness is gone resulting in sharper images.
I’m still on the hunt for the seasonal trillium blooms on Trinidad Head. There have been multiple sightings in the Arcata Forest just 15 miles to the south. So far I have only spotted one plant that has broken thru the soil. The area I’m monitoring usually has a number of plants. Trilliums take years to establish themselves and picking them can kill the plant. They can also go dormant for 3-5 years. I’m hoping the other plants are just slower to mature and will pop up soon.
Enjoy today’s pics! #iluvtowalk #baxteronthego #Trinidadcalifornia #humboldtcounty #humboldt
